ESOF2014 Workshop on Public Engagement in Research & Innovation

This participatory workshop, organised by the European Commission's Directorate General for Research and Innovation, aims at discussing how public engagement is being employed towards resolving issues relevant to the key scientific themes of the ESOF conference. Through interactive parallel conversation spaces, participants will have the opportunity to build on previous engagement processes, debate and exchange ideas on underlying controversies in science and innovation, as well as the challenges of embedding public engagement in the research and innovation process.
SYNENERGENE will be one of the projects showcased as an example of public engagement in the field of synthetic biology, related to the theme "Material and Virtual World".
