SYNENERGENE is proud to sponsor the 8th annual meeting of the Society for the Study of New and Emerging Technologies (S.NET) in Bergen, Norway, 12-14 October 2016. The conference with the title 'The Co-Production of Emerging Bodies, Politics and Technologies' invites to reflect on emerging technologies and their politics.

A series of sessions organized by SYNENERGENE will put synthetic biology and RRI in the focus. Under the title 'RRI and Emerging (Bio-)Technoscience', researchers from the consortium as well as from other research projects on synbio will present their findings and discuss aspects such as RRI as a policy concept in an industry contect, results of a TA project on synthetic biology, and public engagement activities in SYNENERGENE.

What is more, the BIO·FICTION science art film festival will present some of its films in an evening session, together with a panel debate.
