Molly Bond is an interdisciplinary doctoral candidate at the University of Bristol.
My research – bridging Science and Technology Policy and Global Development Studies – focuses on the commercial role of synthetic biology in the future bioeconomy and its implications to sustainable development and transformations in agriculture and industrial production. I am particularly interested in the concepts and practices of ‘disruptive’, ‘sustainable’ and ‘responsible’ innovation, as well as how these notions are assimilated into multi-stakeholder deliberations and the global governance of emerging technologies.
